Offering a sauna and a golf course, Amora Hotel Brisbane is located in Spring Hill with themed cafes, groovy nightspots, small and colourful art galleries, and lots of shops that sell a variety of products, 6 minutes' walk from the heritage-listed Old Windmill. Boasting a location only steps away from St John's Anglican Cathedral, the hotel comprises 296 rooms and 3 restaurants.
Such city attractions as the graceful monument "Shrine of Remembrance", which is just 400 metres from this 5-star hotel, and King George Square, which is a mere 650 metres away, are well worth a visit. The Amora Hotel is also 1.4 km from Brisbane River. The South Bank Parklands is 20 minutes' walk away. This property is only 150 m from Wharf Street 162 near Ann St bus stop and not far from Brisbane Central train station in Brisbane.
The rooms provide climate control, along with tea and coffee-making facilities for guests' comfort. Most rooms have a private bathroom. Bathrooms with a separate toilet and shower/tub combinations, also offer a hairdryer and a shower cap.
The restaurant Jamie's Italian lies 7 minutes' stroll from Amora Hotel Brisbane.
Review by hotel critic
Having recently stayed at Amora Hotel Brisbane, I found the experience to be a mix of highs and lows, ultimately meeting our needs during a conference stay. The lobby bar provided a convenient spot to unwind with cocktails after a long day, however, the initial check-in encounter left something to be desired. The culinary aspect of our stay shone through at The Pantry Restaurant, where the modern Australian cuisine truly impressed. I particularly enjoyed the grab-and-go items from Two Donkeys Café, located conveniently at the Astor Terrace entrance. One evening, I had the pleasure of witnessing Kevin's sizzling prawns making their way to another table, a tantalizing sight indeed. While the decor may have been slightly tired, the warm ambiance and excellent breakfast offerings more than made up for it. Amora Hotel boasts solid value for the price, and I look forward to returning for the culinary delights and convenient location near central Brisbane.
